All credit for creativity goes to the wonderful ~rainyd, I'm mearly stealing her ideas and drawing them.

Also thanks to ~vandonovan for being an amazingly helpful beta and dealing with all sorts of 'I sort of want to do something but I don't know what' questions like a pro :).

And yes, it's Top Gear fanart, Steampunk AU Top Gear fanart of James May to be precise (considering some of the stuff I've drawn this is sensible XD).

As soon as I saw the words "Captain Slow" I knew who this was going to be. He'd probably use a Stephenson's Rocket as a sports car.

Quite a few people have thought of Eight actually :D (Though a May!Doctor would be a lot like Eight with his tea and comfy chairs).

Can't take any credit though, it's all ~rainyd's idea, she's got drawings of all of the TG3 doing steampunk - they're marvelous!

Thankfully most of it (well the silly challenge bits anyway) is up on youtube, great way to spend half an hour or so :).

You and rainyd! With this and her TG picspam combined, you're making my inexplicable crush on James May a little stronger every day.

And on to the actual picture - the colors are gorgeous, and he looks so dashing in the costume. The background looks so natural, like it's a panel in a comic.
